Do you understand the process of “ready, set, go? ” That’s how I like to think about the preparation week. You are not exactly starting The Natural Weight Loss Guide, but you are getting ready. What should you do? Buy a notebook in which you can keep a Healing Journal. You can use this to jot down different thoughts, observations, etc. You might even find yourself making small drawings and the like. Use it to express yourself and your feelings. Often, people are amazed when they look back at the many layers and levels of transformation that they’ve gone through as a result of The Natural Weight Loss Guide. Go to your TCM Self-Healing Tool Box. Review the Eating for Healing foods and recipes, shop for the foods that you’ll need, read over the instructions for the Wu Ming Meridian Qigong movements. Then relax and rest. I really mean this. Try to get at least seven or eight hours of sleep each night. If you can, try and take a nap during the day.
Find some time to do nothing. If it’s at night, look at the night sky and the stars. If it’s during the day, try to take a slow walk in a park. Really rest and relax.
I tell all my students and participants to eat their favorite foods at what I call the “Last Meal.” I urge you also to do this because after the program you may never want to eat these foods again, or at least not in the same way you do now. When your body changes, tastes for certain foods can change as well. As your body heals itself, you will be most surprised at what it chooses to like and dislike. There is no right or wrong way to heal. You are unique and you will heal in a unique way.
In this preparation week, gradually eliminate meat, fowl, fish, and cheese from your meals. This will prepare your body for the weeks ahead. Remember that these particular foods put too much of a burden on your body to digest them. This is Qi you can start to conserve immediately for self-healing!
There is one other thing that you should begin this week. This will stimulate your energy foundation. Learn The Dragon Stands Between Heaven and Earth (#10); it is the last movement in Wu Ming Meridian Therapy Qigong. It is easy to learn. Practice it every day that you can for as long as you can.
