My name is Destiny Taylor and I am a Portland based Makeup Artist. As early as I can remember, I have always been enchanted by beauty. I started dressing myself at the ripe age of four years old. My wardrobe consisted of pink frilly dresses and patented leather shoes... until first grade then I graduated to lime green stretch pants. I remember sitting in front of my mother's vanity for hours teaching myself how to use mascara and contouring my cheek bones.
Before beginning my career in Makeup Artistry I led a boring life of miscellaneous office jobs with the dread of sitting at a cubical. Finally with the encouragement of my friends and family I decided to go to school to turn my hobby into a career. Soon after, I was blessed to meet
Austie Eckley who is an incredibly talented Makeup Artist/Stylist/Designer as well as a mentor and friend. She took me and two other talented women,
Shannon Berecek and
Courtney Rogers under her wing as interns. We are now all working very closely together as Makeup artists! I cannot thank Austie enough for everything she has done for me, she is truly an inspiration and a beautiful woman inside and out.
I am married to my best friend and the love of my life, Cameron Taylor. He is an incredible man and husband. I have been so fortunate to have his encouragement and support in all that I do.
I grew up in a loving and incredibly supportive family. I was lucky enough to not only be raised by my phenomenal parents Diana and Chuck, but also was raised by my grandmother Mary Anna who played such a huge role in my life. I would not be who I am today if it wasn't for them.
It is a great feeling to be surrounded by uplifting and encouraging friends and family. Honestly... my life is great... God is great... and my goal is to make women out there feel great about themselves inside and out!
